jazz performer & recording artist

Colleen Savage has been active on the Vancouver music scene for over 25 years, and has a reputation for delivering convincing performances in both jazz and rhythm and blues. With her deep-seated love of ensemble singing she has powered several groups of note, including Gettin' Off Easy, Badazjazz, and Mother of Pearl. She is a seasoned artist who performs on concert stages and at major jazz festivals across Canada.

L to R: Dave Guiney, bass; Ron Johnston, piano; Colleen Savage; John Doheny, saxophones; John Nolan, drums.

Colleen has recorded four CDs, has been featured on CBC radio, and, with Vancouver's Mother of Pearl quintet, created the stage production sheBOP! - a century of jazz compositions by Canadian women. Her most recent recording Hallelujah features her favourite jazz and blues material, molded with a finesse acquired over many years of live performance.
